The Malamute is not a cookie cutter breed (meaning that No on Malamute is the same)...
some are more dominate, they will tell you what for.. they will yell at you.. if they dont want to do something they just wont..they are demanding..

Malamutes are almost human.. they are sometimes to smart for their own good.. No one malamute is the same.. there is alot of information on the mals as a general but from my experience this is the way its been :)
Some think they are lap dogs and just want to be with you at all times.. they will do anything to please you
Bear
Some think food is the only thing there is to live for
Most love to work... they love a job
Some dont want a job,  and would rather just be with you
They all love and enjoy bein out with you
Some have same sex aggression issues other don't.. (meaning two females will fight eachother and two males will fight with eachother.. Ive seen both..Ive even seen male and females fight. Sometimes this breed can be hard to get along with.
Some females and males dont get along either.. depends on personalities..
Some Malamutes have the softest of hearts and souls.. They just  think the world is for them to be loved and, are full of smiles..
Malamutes are not for everyone....... If you want an obediant dog get a different breed. Malamutes will tell you off and yell at you if they feel they dont want to do something. And general wont do what you ask.
If you want a dog to sit patiently by your side get a different breed. Malamutes were bred to work, to pull.. some of mine are more laid back then others but the Malamute is not a sit on the couch kinda dog... They love to do a job and they will get bored, and at times be destructive..
If you want a perfect yard, yep, try again they will do landscaping for you, they love to DIG.. They dont care about the perfect come see my yard.. they will make it just the way they want :) They love to trim back the trees and shrubs too..
If you love to look your sunday best or like your going out on the town on a friday night, pick a different breed. Dog hair will become a permant clothing atire...... Not to mention when they blow their coats it will look like a stuffed animal was torn to peices in your yard.. the hair comes out by the handfulls......
Stuffed animals forget it..They will have those torn in no time flat..One day I thought Id treat the dogs to some new toys,  I got  $40 dollars worth of toys and stuffed animals and withing minutes they were torn up stuffing everywhere....... Yep thats right another chore picking up stuffing.. Malamutes dont like you to be bored either :)
Those ropes you can buy with the huge knots on the ends of them or how about the rope balls, I have a malamute that can unknot them as well. Then you have to pickup string everywhere.. not to mention worrying about the dogs eating the string and causing a blockage .
<<<<<<<.
Thunder is a pro at untying knots in ropes
Malamutes can be a challenge,  When you think your boss they will literally do something that makes you laugh or smile DONT GIVE IN, They are so smart they know how to get out of being introuble..
Malamutes for the most part are oderless dogs. They clean themselves like cats..  Give them a mudpuddle to play in and by morning they will be clean.. yes I mean clean..
They try to find things to amuse themselves
The colder it is out the more hyper a malamute gets. They love snow, rain 20 degree weather.. or even colder.. They have a harder time in hotter weather..  If it rains, note: that they still think they can come in and lay all over your house :).. Mals love being with their people no matter what the temperature and weather is like outside
Socalizing is a must when it comes to the Malamutes however please know I have seen some malamute be animal dominate or aggressive even if socialized at a young age. I believe it has alot to do with thier personality, temperment and upbringing .. these all play a roll in how a Malamute will be as an adult..
